RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Aug. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Marken announced the opening of their latest GDP-compliant operations center in Zurich, Switzerland, responding to increased demand from local pharmaceutical companies with growing clinical development programs.

The new location is within close vicinity to the Zürich Airport (Kloten) freight terminal and is strategically located near major Swiss highways. The facility, which operates 24/7/365, includes office and warehouse space with refrigerators and freezers available for temperature controlled packaging, full security and is connected to Marken's global 'Maestro' operating system. The operation will be fully staffed, capable of collecting and shipping clinical drug product from the Zurich gateway to anywhere in the world.  The facility also conforms to the Swiss Minergie (green) standard, a registered quality label for new and refurbished low-energy-consumption buildings.
