SYOSSET, N.Y., Nov. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Mr. Mark S. Allaben, of Hebron, Connecticut, has been included in the Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of insurance.

ABOUT MARK S. ALLABEN

Mr. Allaben has had more than 32 years of experience in the insurance industry.  Since 2001, he has served as Vice President and Actuary with Hartford Financial Services Group, which provides personal insurance, commercial insurance and financial service products including automobile, homeowners, life, annuities and mutual funds.  He manages the property and casualty enterprise business intelligence group and supervises a staff of 140.  Mr. Allaben specializes in rate-making, reserving, modeling and data warehousing and also serves as an expert witness for actuarial matters.  Prior to this position, he was a Group Vice President and Chief Actuary with the Frontier Insurance Group from 1999-2001.  Mr. Allaben received a B.S., with Honors, Magna Cum Laude, in Mathematics, from the University of Connecticut in 1978.  He has published various papers with the Casualty Actuarial Society and has presented at numerous industry conferences including the CAS Conventions, IDMA Conferences, AM Best and the ISO Tech Conference.  He is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), a former Board of Director of the Insurance Data Management Association (IDMA), Board Member on the Hebron Board of Education and a Board Member of the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE).  Mr. Allaben currently resides in Hebron, Connecticut with his wife, Susan, where he enjoys running, hiking and backpacking.
