Mark Heaney Joins QMerit As Board Director
Experienced Executive Will Support QMerit Home Healthcare Market Adoption
IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- QMerit, Inc., the creator of an innovative new SaaS platform for efficient labor sourcing in the technical services and home healthcare markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Heaney as its Board Director. In his role, Heaney will help the company continue to expand its offering and communicate the QMerit value proposition to the home healthcare market place.
Heaney has been involved in the delivery of health services at home since 1979. Heaney joined Addus Homecare in 1985, eventually becoming its President and CEO in May 2008 and its Chairman in June 2009. Heaney served in those roles until January 2016. Heaney is a seasoned board member serving both companies and organizations. During his career, Heaney served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Homecare (NAHC) for six years. He was Chairman of its Homecare Aide Section focused on Medicaid Services and a founding Board Member of the Medicaid Homecare Association of America. He was the first Chairperson of the National Private Duty Association of America. He is a Member of the Board of Advisors for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago. Heaney also currently serves on the Board of Directors for Trade Winds, a community group serving the developmentally disabled.
In addition to his board roles, Heaney is a frequently invited speaker to industry and Medicaid policy conferences. Heaney has testified before Congress on behalf of home bound veterans and served on several state and local government Medicaid related task groups and advisory boards.
