FORT WORTH, Texas, Nov. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- RadioShack Corporation (NYSE: RSH) today announced the appointment of Mark A. Boerio to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Inventory Planning and Allocation, effective December 3. He is the latest addition to the new leadership team being assembled by CEO Joseph C. Magnacca as the Company executes its strategic plan to reposition the brand, revamp the product assortment, reinvigorate the stores, increase its operational efficiency and enhance financial flexibility.

Prior to joining RadioShack, Boerio served in various executive functions for Belk, Inc., the nation's largest family owned and operated department store company, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy. During his 11-year tenure at Belk, Boerio also served as Senior Vice President, Merchandise Planning and Allocation, and Senior Vice President, Stores. Before joining Belk, Boerio served as Manager, Merchandise Planning for Victoria's Secret Stores, LLC. Boerio received his MBA from Duquesne University and his BS in Business Administration, Finance, from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
In addition, the Company announced that Huey P. Long, executive vice president of strategy and consumer insights, has chosen to leave RadioShack to pursue other opportunities. His responsibilities have been reassigned to other executives in the organization.
