SYOSSET, N.Y., Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ms. Marion Rifkind, of Wolverhampton, England, has been included in the Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for her outstanding contributions and achievements in the communication services field.

ABOUT MARION RIFKIND

Ms. Rifkind has over 30 years of experience in international communications, particularly, in translation, interpretation and foreign language services.  She is currently serving as President/Chief Executive Officer of Universe Technical Translation Incorporated, a company she founded in 1981 and owns.  The company provides foreign language translation, interpretation services, multimedia/audio-video translation, narration, dubbing and subtitling in sixty languages.  Ms. Rifkind is responsible for overall company operations, major accounts, language classes, cross-cultural training, public relations, customer relations and international operations.  She has provided interpretation services for President Putin of Russia, President Bush, President Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan, President Niyazov of Turkmenistan and President Jiang Zemin of China.  She is extremely proud of the 'Soviet American Chamber of Commerce' she founded and renamed the 'CIS American Chamber of Commerce' in Houston, Texas in 1991.  She has opened offices in London, Moscow and Baku.  Ms. Rifkind was honored in 2009 as the 18th Woman-Owned Fastest Growing Business in Houston and in 2011, received the Top 100 Diversity Award for Privately Held Business in Texas.  She is a member of the American Translators Association/the Russian American Chamber of Commerce/the Greater Houston Partnership and the Houston Interpreters and Translators Association.  She received a B.A. in Russian Studies with a Minor in French and Latin, in Manchester, England in 1971.  She speaks Russian, French, some German/some Spanish and is studying Portuguese as she will represent her company at the first Offshore Technology Conference in Brazil this October.  Ms. Rifkind, originally from the United Kingdom, currently resides in Houston, Texas where she enjoys her four children, tennis, Pilates, biking, dancing and cooking.
