Mariano Spins-Off Patriot Recovery to form Contego Services Group, LLC

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Steven M. Mariano, Founder & CEO of Patriot National Insurance Group, Inc., a leading provider of workers' compensation insurance and related services, announced the spin off of all operations of Patriot National subsidiary Patriot Recovery, Inc., and the formation of Contego Services Group, LLC. Contego, which will assume all of Patriot Recovery's subrogation and special investigations operations, will also provide a wide range of services, including loss control, recovery, private investigation, training, and claims management to other insurance companies, third-party administrators, and self-insured clients.

Linda Webb, Contego's President, who has dedicated more than 30 years to fighting fraud, chose the company's name from the Latin word for "Shield, Protect and Defend."  Webb, who boxed her way through college to earn a teaching degree, later became a law enforcement officer, and eventually a fraud investigator for insurance companies handling domestic and international fraud cases.

Key to the company's success will be its "SWARM" service model, which allows Contego's team to quickly bring all of its resources to bear when investigating difficult claims.  "This unique approach will allow Contego to become a market leader and a game changer in the insurance industry," said Leigh Mills, who will head Contego's sales team as Vice President.
