Marcus Lemonis Announces Partnership With RawONE Foods
CORPORATE CEO & PHILANTHROPIST AND STAR OF THE NEW CNBC PRIME BUSINESS SHOW CONTINUES FOCUS ON PEOPLE, PROCESS AND PRODUCT
HOLLYWOOD, Fla., Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Entrepreneur and Philanthropist Marcus Lemonis announced today that he has become a 50 percent partner in RawONE Foods, a family-owned manufacturer of certified organic and kosher, raw, non-GMO, gluten-free delicious snacks. In addition to his partnership with RawONE, Lemonis also has a vested interest in several other healthy eateries, including Rose's Bakery and Wheat Free Cafe in Chicago, IL, which he saved from closing its doors on Christmas Eve 2012.
Started in 2009 by Dion and Sandesha Taylor, RawONE Foods provides minimally processed, nutrient dense, handmade Superfood snacks and granolas to over 48 Whole Foods Market Stores throughout the southeast United States, Canada and the Caribbean, using only the best ingredients and preparation processes. The company sells a high quality line of wholesome Flaxseed Crackers, outstanding Raw Biscotti, and enriching Granolas, and intends to launch several new exciting products this year.
"My investment was a simple one," said Lemonis. "I always look for three things. People, Process and Product. I can tell you without reservation that Dion and Sandesha are some of the finest people I have come across. Their product is world class but we see opportunity to improve the process and the balance sheet. Growth is key to the success and I wanted to help them achieve that. This small business fix will become a big business very quickly."
RawONE Foods prides itself on a clean product, company, packaging, and food, and represents a caring consciousness for the community, planet, and benefits of nutrition for the mind, the body, and the spirit. Sandesha, a gourmet Chef of 20 years, marshaled her culinary influences from places visited like India, Europe, and the Caribbean to create a line of delicious nutritious snacks. Couple her culinary expertise with her husband Dion's business acumen and 20 years of experience; and what do you get is... RawONE, a company committed to creating true Superfood snacks.
"We know that our current food system riddled with over-processing, nutrient deficient, refined sugars and wheat, and genetically engineered organism, is the single biggest cause of chronic disease and obesity, and that consumers ought to have a choice when it comes to feeding themselves and their families, we want to be a trusted brand that provides them that choice," said Dion Taylor.
In addition to running the World's largest RV related businesses in Camping World and Good Sam, and appearing on ABC's "Secret Millionaire," Lemonis has also appeared on NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" (March 2011) which helped to raise over a million dollars for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. He also appeared in this season's (2012) run of "Celebrity Apprentice."
