Marc Mayer joins Schroders as Head of Institutional - North America

NEW YORK, May 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Schroder Investment Management North America Inc. has announced today that Marc Mayer has been hired to lead its institutional business initiatives. Marc brings more than 25 years of senior investment leadership experience. Most recently, Marc served as CEO of GMO LLC. Prior to that, Marc spent 20 years at Alliance Bernstein where he served in various leadership roles including, Head of Institutional Research, Head of Institutional Brokerage, Global Head of Institutions, Global Head of Retail and CIO of Multi-Asset.

Schroders has experienced significant growth in its institutional business during the past five years, with AUM rising from $16 billion in 2009 to $39 billion in March 2014.
