BURLINGTON, Mass., March 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Decision Resources Group (DRG), one of the world's leading firms focusing on healthcare insights, data and analytics, and services, announced today that Marc Krellenstein has joined the Company as the Senior Vice President of Technology Development and Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Krellenstein was most recently Chief Technology Officer at Relay Technology Management, which was acquired by Decision Resources Group in 2013. There he developed tools for the interpretation and utilization of data in the life science and healthcare areas.
At Decision Resources Group he will lead the Solutions Development organization and also play a significant role in the Operations Technology organization. He will oversee major technology investments, ensuring that the organization makes the correct technology, architecture and systems decisions.
"Marc will be key to the organization as we build out our digital infrastructure," said Decision Resources Group CEO Jim Lang. "Our clients are the world's leading pharmaceutical, medtech and managed care companies. They demand accurate, fast and focused market data, in the form compatible with their own systems. Marc is just the person to keep us meeting and exceeding those requirements in coming years. It will be a pleasure working with him."
"A lot of people talk about 'big data'," said Dr. Krellenstein. "You don't know 'big' until you get a good look at what healthcare generates, both in the U.S. and worldwide. I was already digging deeply into healthcare data at Relay. But joining Decision Resources Group gives me access to a vastly greater level of data. DRG will be making some daring investments on the leading edge of data technology, and it will be my job to make sure those investments pay off, for the company and for its customers."
