Marc A. Rodriguez Named Chairman-Elect of United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
WASHINGTON, Feb. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Board of Directors today announced Marc A. Rodriguez as the new Chairman-Elect of the Board.
Marc A. Rodriguez will be presented as the 2013 Chairman of the Board during the 2012 United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Convention and Business Expo, to be held in Los Angeles, California in September this year.

Mr. Rodriguez has served a variety of leadership roles on the USHCC Board over the past three years, including regional chair and member of the Executive Committee, as well as The Chair of Nominations and Governance Committee. He has closely supported the USHCC through a robust growth period for the organization's role and influence in advocating for its core constituencies, including 200 local Hispanic Chambers and three million Hispanic Business Enterprises throughout the country.
The USHCC is proud to have a Chairman-Elect that has demonstrated leadership and has a proven track record of building consensus among all constituents in an effective manner. Rodriguez has been a close, collaborative advisor and consultant on several of the USHCC's key initiatives over the past two years.
Rodriguez has served as Chairman of the USHCC 2011 Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C. and numerous other leadership roles with the organization. Rodriguez, who has worked as a government relations expert for over 22 years, is no stranger to community service - he has served as the chair of the Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and has a professional history of coordinating large initiatives with volunteers, private consultants, governmental agencies and elected officials.
As a professional advocate, Mr. Rodriguez has specific expertise to address public policy issues including utility regulation, government policy, infrastructure, urban affairs and natural resources management. His clients also benefit from his role as a political advisor and strategist. Mr. Rodriguez is also an active entrepreneur. He is presently the owner of a Texas-based government relations consulting firm and President of TOPE Development - a real estate company.
Marc and his wife Jennifer and four daughters reside in Austin, Texas.
