Marathon's Roberts Set to Open DUG Eagle Ford

HOUSTON, Aug. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- David E. Roberts Jr., executive vice president and chief operating officer, Marathon Oil Corp., will deliver the opening keynote to energy professionals at Hart Energy's 3rd Annual Developing Unconventionals (DUG™) Eagle Ford conference and exhibition, October 14-16, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.

Roberts' remarks, "How Marathon Oil is Proving and Producing the Eagle Ford," will examine the company's leasehold, output, and efforts to grow per-well results. Marathon produces more than 370,000 BOE/D worldwide and forecasts some $4.6 billion in 2012 capex. It plans as many as 2,500 wells in its South Texas play.
