Marathon Asset Management Expands Partnership
NEW YORK, Sept. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Marathon Asset Management, L.P. (Marathon), a leading corporate debt, structured credit and emerging market credit investment manager, today announced the addition of three new Partners: Stuart Goldberg, Senior Portfolio Manager in the Structured Credit Group; Jake Hyde, Senior Portfolio Manager in the Corporate Credit Group; and Andrew Springer, Senior Portfolio Manager in the Structured Credit Group.
Founded in 1998 by Bruce Richards and Louis Hanover, Marathon has grown over the past 13 years to become one of the leading credit-focused global investment and asset management firms. These three new Partners join an executive partnership team that has been operating together for nearly a decade, including: Mr. Richards, Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Hanover, Chief Investment Officer; as well as Andrew Rabinowitz, Chief Operating Officer; Richard Ronzetti, Head of Research; Steve Kim, CIO of Asia; and Adam Phillips, CIO of Europe.

Stuart Goldberg is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Co-Head of Marathon's Structured Credit Group, which focuses on principal investments in various securitized asset classes including Asset Backed Securities (ABS), Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS) and Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS), and he is a member of the firm's Executive Committee. Mr. Goldberg has 23 years of experience investing in fixed income in the global markets.
Jake Hyde is a Senior Portfolio Manager in Marathon's Corporate Credit Group, and a member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Hyde has 17 years of investment experience across the corporate, structured and mortgage asset classes.
Andrew Springer is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Co-Head of Marathon's Structured Credit Group, responsible for principal investment decisions related to Asset Backed Securities (ABS), Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS), and Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS), and a member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Springer has 24 years of experience in analyzing, underwriting and purchasing mortgage assets and structured credit.
