MAQUET Supports Make-A-Wish® With A Year Of Giving Back
Make-A-Wish to receive donations after every $50,000 purchase order
WAYNE, N.J., April 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MAQUET Medical Systems USA reinforced its commitment to patients today by announcing its support of Make-A-Wish® to help fulfill more wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. Beginning March 1, 2014, MAQUET USA will donate $250 to Make-A-Wish for every single purchase order of $50,000 or more (before tax, shipping and install) received between March 1, 2014 and February 28, 2015, with a minimum guaranteed contribution of $50,000, up to a maximum of $150,000. Funds raised will help support wishes in the communities where we live.
"Every day at MAQUET, we focus on creating products that help provide better care—but we can do more," said Raoul Quintero, President of MAQUET Medical Systems USA. "There are intangibles beyond technologies and solutions that can contribute to the healing process. We too, believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer for a child, and that's why we chose to support Make-A-Wish in the first ever cause promotion implemented by MAQUET."
Make-A-Wish grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories, on average, every 38 minutes. And while Make-A-Wish routinely works with hospital and medical professionals as referral sources, the relationship between MAQUET and Make-A-Wish is the first sponsorship Make-A-Wish has engaged in with a medical device organization.
