Maponics and Gadberry Partner on Demographic and Segmentation Data
Agreement to blend Maponics postal data with Gadberry patented MicroBuild® offering
WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt., June 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Maponics, LLC a leading provider of boundary-based spatial data, today announced a partnership with location-based analytics company, Gadberry Group. The resulting product will be offered by both companies to their respective customers via a cross-licensing agreement.
Maponics postal spatial data offerings are a marked improvement over traditional data sets which are aggregated at the census block group level and then re-apportioned down to the more granular block and ZIP+4 levels. The new offering will enable users to understand trade areas and demographic patterns more accurately and precisely with data that is not reapportioned but rather, is built from the ground up to deliver the most current, accurate and precise information. Now, data such as income, net worth, ethnicity and segmentation variables are available at a truly accurate ZIP+4, carrier route, and ZIP code level.
"The partnership will enhance our Maponics Context™ family of products by pairing Gadberry's household demographic and segmentation data with our postal spatial data offerings. In particular, our Maponics ZIP+4 Centroids, Carrier Routes, and ZIP Code Boundaries data," says Mike Villarreal, manager of Product and Market Development at Maponics. "This product will be the right fit for customers looking for greater access to quality data via what is captured by the boundaries Maponics creates and maintains," Villarreal says.
"The blending of Maponics boundaries with MicroBuild data creates a suite of postal data products that's extremely valuable to analysts and marketers alike. Our specialty is building demographic data at the household level and then tying it to local, or micro, markets. It's a unique build process that is very different from a census demographic product and allows us to provide a more accurate view of a variety of smaller geographies or market areas. Instead of painting a market with a broad brush, we enable marketers and site location experts to truly understand their local economies. Gadberry is very excited to bring this new offering to the Maponics Context product family," says Janey Pettit, Gadberry director of Product Management.
The new offering, available in early Q3, will give users the opportunity to accurately target household demographics and segmentation, built from the name and address level, in neighborhoods across the U.S. Potential use cases include retail research, retail sales forecasting and direct marketing targeting – all of which can benefit from precise postal geographic data.
