Mapfit Continues Its Efforts to Reshape the Mapping API Industry with Appointment of New CEO

NEW YORK, Aug. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Mapfit today announced that it has appointed accomplished technology executive and investor, Jeroen Seghers as Chief Executive Officer to lead the company through its next phase of innovation and spur exponential growth.

In June 2018, Mapfit announced its seed funding round, which Seghers participated in as an investor and board member. The seed round was taken in to help support the continued excellence of the platform, which provides website and app developers (iOS and Android) with continuously-updated fast vector map serving and accurate geocoding for best-in-class map experiences.

Seghers has been an investor and board member of Mapfit's since 2016. Prior to joining Mapfit, Seghers was founder and CPO of Sourcepoint, a content compensation platform that worked with the world's largest publishing companies to provide choice to consumers around how they compensate for content access.
