LAS VEGAS, Oct. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Las Vegas is proud to announce DJ Innovate of CDG DJ's as the winner of the Vegas Spin-Off DJ contest. DJ Innovate mixed, mastered and spun his way to the top, beating out six other amateur DJs for his chance at turntable glory opening for Lil Jon at Surrender Nightclub located inside Encore at Wynn Las Vegas on November 11.
DJ Innovate was evaluated by a panel of judges including TV star and platinum producer Lil Jon, chart-topping duo LMFAO, DJ VICE, Markus Schulz and Sol Shafer, Marquee Nightclub's director of special operations and music. He will receive an all-expense paid, VIP trip to Las Vegas, the opportunity to open for Lil Jon at Surrender Nightclub — the upscale nightlife destination renowned for programming world-class DJs and producers — on November 11, a $10,000 in-home recording studio, $1,500 in PUMA apparel and a $1,000 Visa gift card.
Touted as the new hub for electronic music, Las Vegas offers visitors the world's leading DJs and the most vibrant daylife and nightlife culture unlike any in the world. The Vegas Spin-Off sought to discover the latest electronic music prodigy as amateur spinners from around the world submitted their original tracks throughout the summer. Fans then voted on their favorite tracks via social media outles in order to narrow the pool to seven finalists. The "lucky seven" flew to Las Vegas to perform in a spin-off event at Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub on September 26. The finalists' live performances were filmed and later judged by the entire celebrity panel, with DJ Innovate coming out as cream of the DJ crop.
