Manulife Asset Management Names Robert Corbally to Lead Product in Europe

TORONTO and LONDON, Dec. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Manulife Asset Management has named Robert Corbally to a new position leading product in Europe and supporting its distribution initiative there. Mr. Corbally joined the firm as a Managing Director on the Global Product Team based in London, effective November 2, and reports to Ian Filderman, Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Product.

"As we continue to build our business in Europe, we are confident that Robert's extensive experience with product development and management in Europe will help us accelerate our business plans and expand our global product offerings for our clients," said Mr. Filderman. Most recently, Mr. Corbally was with Standard Life Investments Limited as a Senior Product Development Manager, and prior to that had similar roles with Ignis Asset Management and with Aviva investors UK. He also worked on the product side with Prudential and Skandia Global Funds and he holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

Furthering its business expansion into Europe, Manulife Asset Management has taken several additional major steps recently, including the appointment last summer of Claude Chene as its London-based Global Head of Distribution. Late last year the firm added a new Global Emerging Markets Equity portfolio management team consisting of Kathryn Langridge and Philip Ehrmann, also based in London.
