Manufacturers' Appliance Promotions Benefiting Customers for Black Friday

DENVER, Nov., 19 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Consumers are getting steep discounts on appliances for Black Friday due to significant manufacturer promotions this year. According to major appliance manufacturers, now has never been a better time to be a consumer, especially when it comes to appliances.

This holiday season will be a big year for appliances. Traditionally, Black Friday's big selling points have been electronics and other consumer items. In the past couple of years, however, appliances have become a big part of the mix.  

Appliance Factory Outlet, a locally owned and independent retailer with 10 locations across Colorado, has been offering Black Friday discounts since November 1. This is because manufacturers like LG Electronics, Frigidaire, GE and others started offering aggressive promotions starting earlier than ever before in November.

"This is the most aggressive Black Friday pricing I've seen," said a member of Frigidaire's upper management. He said that now is the best time for consumers to buy appliances, because prices will definitely be higher next year due to current economic trends.

"Prices are not going to be better," he said. "Forecasters are saying we'll have an increase in prices next year."

When asked if we'll see lower prices for the official Black Friday date, manufacturers said that it was a possibility, but prices are already so incredibly low.

Appliance Factory Outlet has stocked up and bought $5 million worth of product for Black Friday to ensure that customers can get the same or better pricing on appliances for the holidays, without the inconvenience and hassle of waiting in line at the big box stores who may run out of stock.
