The FSLC concentrates on the law of suretyship and fidelity insurance. Suretyship is a specialized line of insurance that is created whenever one party guarantees performance of an obligation by another party, such as construction bonds, performance bonds and payment bonds. Fidelity insurance, sometimes referred to commercial crime insurance, generally responds to a business's losses resulting from its employees' dishonesty or by certain types of fraud committed by customers and third parties.
Gupta concentrates her practice in the areas of complex bankruptcy proceedings and commercial litigation. Her experience includes debt restructuring, creditors' rights, specialized representation of commercial sureties in chapter 11 bankruptcies, and business litigation cases. She works in the firm's Business Restructuring Services Department representing debtors, creditors, creditor committees, liquidating trustees, and commercial sureties in business reorganization matters.
Gupta has a J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, an MBA from Cleveland State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from John Carroll University.
