Manhattan Venture Partners Expands Advisory Board with the Appointment of Business Innovators Kei Shimada and Charles Corm
Key Appointments to Provide Strategic Counsel for Global Business
NEW YORK, April 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Manhattan Venture Partners, the research-driven merchant bank specializing in the secondary market for private technology companies, continued to expand its stellar advisory board. Today, the company announced the appointments of Mr. Kei Shimada, global director of innovation and development at Dentsu based in Japan, and Mr. Charles Corm, CEO of Corm Capital based in Lebanon. This brings the total number of advisors to nine, with the possibility of additional, strategic appointments in the next several months. The new members each bring significant experience in key areas for the organization, including management, finance and technology.

ADDITIONS TO THE BOARD:
Kei Shimada is the Global Director of Innovation and Business Development for Dentsu where he focuses on both initiating and leading a Dentsu Aegis group wide innovation initiative. Kei also works to create new solutions around wearables, neural technology, locational big data and crisis management infrastructures, going beyond the traditional advertising business to cultivate new business opportunities.
As an entrepreneur in Japan in 2004, Kei successfully established and ran Infinita Inc., one of Japan's first multinational mobile research, consulting and development firms. In addition, Kei is the Regional Director of Japan for Wearable World, a San Francisco - based startup dedicated to fostering a community for thought leaders in Wearables and the Internet of Things.
Charles Corm is the CEO at Corm Capital. Corm Capital is a global multi-sector holding company founded in 1998 and active in five main sectors: finance, investments, technology, media and real estate.
Charles is also the Founder of OX Factory, an ICT startup incubator, and of OX Media, a fully integrated online media company. He is also a Founding Partner at Inco Capital, a boutique investment banking firm. Charles is a shareholder in a number of global startups since 1996, having created a solid, extensive and diversified portfolio of what are now, for the most, successful businesses.
Charles acts as an Advisor to several global companies. He brings his expertise in management, finance and technology to help them achieve a number of critical funding, strategic and business development oriented goals. Charles also acts as a Connector, having assembled one of the most extensive contact networks in the MENASA region and beyond. He sits on the board of a number of reputed firms as well as established NGOs and charitable organizations including the Charles Corm Foundation (named after his late grandfather).
Prior to which Charles worked on Wall Street for several years as a hedge fund analyst and investment banker.
