Manhattan Review Celebrates 15 Years of GMAT Prep
NEW YORK, Oct. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- This month, the Manhattan Review team is proud to celebrate 15 years of student-focused and time-efficient GMAT test preparation in New York City and many other cities in the United States. In 1999, Joern Meissner, the company's founder, was a doctoral candidate at Columbia Business School. One day, his MBA students approached him and asked him to help their friends who were seeking admission into business school. Meissner's students had been so impressed by the efficiency of his lectures that they urged him to develop a study schedule for people who were preparing to take the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) but were pressed for time because of other commitments. Meissner agreed that there was clearly an urgent need for an efficient study system and he set out to develop one. He launched a program to help students prepare for the GMAT in as short a period of time as possible. The program was an immediate success and Manhattan Review was born.
"We are happy to have improved so many lives and to have enabled applicants for 15 years to improve their test scores and thereby gain admission to the schools of their choice, and we look forward to doing so for the next 15 years and beyond," said founder Joern Meissner, who still serves as chairman of the company, on reaching this milestone. Manhattan Review has created a program tailored to busy professionals and students — clients who are working under tight time constraints and need to raise, sometimes drastically, their scores. Manhattan Review has been recruiting and training the top GMAT instructors in the United States and all over the world, to deliver programs that help to improve scores within time-efficient study schedules. By relying on a content-based curriculum without gimmicks or "tricks," students do more than memorize — they learn methods to solve problems. Since its inception, Manhattan Review has added preparation classes for other standardized admission tests, such as the GRE, LSAT, SAT and TOEFL. From its humble beginnings, Manhattan Review has now grown to serve the full range of academic needs, from college to graduate school applications, and has become a recognized leader in standardized test-preparation.
As a result of a decade-and-a-half of success, spaces for the fall classes are filling up fast. Manhattan Review offers a wide variety of course choices in many cities in the United States and in countries all over the world. In addition to offering $100 off tuition fees for early bookings of fall courses in celebration of the crystal anniversary, Manhattan Review also regularly runs a number of special promotions.
