Management Concepts Announces Presentations, Sponsorship at TOC 2016 Annual Institute

TYSONS CORNER, Va., April 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Management Concepts Inc., the nation's premier provider of professional development, performance improvement, and talent management solutions for the public sector, today announced its training presentations and gold sponsorship of the Training Officer's Consortium (TOC) 2016 Annual Institute, taking place April 17-20, 2016 in Ocean City, MD.

Dr. Shelley Kirkpatrick, Director of Assessment Services at Management Concepts and Kriste Buchanan, Senior Assessment Consultant at Management Concepts will co-present "A Return to Best Practices: Developing the Workforce to Efficiently Meet Agency Missions." Additionally, Maria Morukian, Instructor at Management Concepts will present "Fostering Accountability, Adaptability, and Resilience." This session will discuss how in order to thrive within a changing environment, leaders at all levels must demonstrate Accountability, Adaptability, and Resilience (AAR). Competency in AAR allows individuals to hold themselves responsible for behaviors and actions, be willing to change as needed, and to acknowledge setbacks and find creative ways to move forward.

The theme of the 2016 Annual Institute is "Sea Change – Ocean of Opportunities." The Training Officers Consortium, founded in 1938 in Washington, DC, is a nonprofit organization of Federal trainers and other professionals from industry and academe who are interested in contributing to the knowledge and practice of human resources and training. Its members provide services and networking opportunities to the Federal training community throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area as far south as Hampton, Virginia.
