Management Concepts Announces Presentations at ASMC PDI 2016
TYSONS CORNER, Va., May 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Management Concepts Inc., the nation's premier provider of professional development, performance improvement, and human capital solutions for the public sector, today announced three of its instructors will present at the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) National Professional Development Institute (PDI), taking place June 1-3, 2016 in Orlando, Florida.
Rick Hurley, CDFM-A, and Senior Consultant/Instructor for Financial Management at Management Concepts will present "Cost-Benefit Analysis," introducing cost-benefit analysis and how it is used to support decision-making in the organization, thereby increasing public welfare and improving efficiency.
Robert Black, CGFM and Senior Consultant/Instructor for Financial Management at Management Concepts will present on "Internal Controls: Meeting Federal Requirements for Accountability," helping participants reduce the risk of waste, fraud, and mismanagement within their agency, and support accountability efforts.
Phil Davidson, Senior Consultant/Instructor for Financial Management at Management Concepts will present:
- "Antideficiency Act (ADA): The 4-4-4 Plan to Avoid Violations:" discusses 12 types of ADA violations and which ones are automatic and which ones may be correctable. This workshop uses real life examples to emphasize legal requirements and how effective funds control can provide the best protection against violations of the ADA.
- "Budgeting and Accounting: Making the Connection" this mini-course is designed for junior DoD or contract employees from several different backgrounds: Accountants who want insight into DoD budgeting, budgeteers who want insight into DoD accounting, and systems people who want a basic understanding of DoD budgeting and accounting.

More than 100 courses have been mapped to the leadership and FM competencies to help defense financial professionals secure certification prior to July 2016.
