ManaAir Announces Completion of ExpressJet Airlines Acquisition
ATLANTA, Jan. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- ManaAir LLC, a company jointly-owned by KAir Enterprises and United Airlines, today announced the completion of the purchase of ExpressJet Airlines from SkyWest, Inc.
ExpressJet is a leading U.S. regional passenger airline that flies as United Express throughout North America, with a fleet of 125 aircraft. It recently inaugurated its multi-year growth plan through an initial award of 25 Embraer E175 aircraft to be flown under the United Express brand.
ManaAir, LLC, is controlled by KAir Enterprises with minority ownership by United Airlines, a subsidiary of United Continental Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: UAL).
Taurus CFG acted as financial advisor and Eversheds Sutherland LLP as legal advisor to KAir in the transaction. Sidley Austin LLP acted as legal advisor to United Airlines in the transaction.
