Mana Health Adds Healthcare Entrepreneur Dr. Jay Yadav to Investor Team and Board of Directors
Entrepreneur-led angel group invested $3.15 million to-date to fund app platform for healthcare
NEW YORK, Aug. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Mana Health, an NYC-based healthcare technology company, today introduced Jay Yadav, MD, to its Board of Directors and as an investor in the company. The financing will be used to support ongoing operations including deployments for its ManaCloud™ Platform, designed to streamline the deployment of applications that impact the transition to value-based care.
Dr. Yadav joins the investor team including Reggie Bradford, SVP of Product Development at Oracle and Founder/CEO of Vitrue, Inc., and Bert Ellis, a founding investor in WebMD and CEO of Ellis Capital, along with other esteemed investors and entrepreneurs.

Dr. Yadav is an internationally recognized interventional cardiologist and entrepreneur who was Founder and CEO of CardioMEMS, Inc. prior to its acquisition by St. Jude Medical in 2014. He was the founder of Angioguard (acquired by JNJ) and initial investor and director of SMART Therapeutics (acquired by Boston Scientific). Dr. Yadav has authored two books, over two hundred publications, and holds over forty patents. Dr. Yadav's research has significantly improved the treatment of heart failure and cerebrovascular disease, and his procedure for the treatment of carotid artery disease is a Class I recommendation of the National Guidelines of the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology. He is the recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for his contributions to medicine.
