Mana Contemporary to Honor Marina Abramovic at Its First Annual Collectors Dinner to Coincide With New York's Armory Show

JERSEY CITY, N.J., Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Iconic performance artist Marina Abramovic, whose seminal body of work is best known for pushing physical and mental boundaries, will be honored at Mana Contemporary's First Annual Collectors Dinner, to be held on March 7, 2013 at Milk Studios in New York.

The exclusive dinner, held in collaboration with RBC Wealth Management, will gather 100 select collectors and arts professionals from all over the world. Acclaimed broadcast journalist Charlie Rose will host the celebration, which will include a conversation with Abramovic highlighting her outstanding career and achievements in the arts. The evening will also include a modern dance performance choreographed by Karole Armitage, whose company, Armitage Gone! Dance, has a state-of-the-art studio at Mana Contemporary.

Each year, Mana Contemporary will hold the Collectors Dinner in early March to coincide with the Armory Show art fair. The annual event will honor a prominent figure in the arts as selected by Mana's leadership.
