Makeable Partners With UNIQLO To Launch "Selfless Selfie Project"
Global Project Aims to Engage Consumers to do Some Good, One Selfie at a Time
NEW YORK, Sept. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Makeable, leading independent business, product and brand innovation company, has partnered with global clothing retailer UNIQLO and DOOB, a global provider of 3D technology-based products and services, to launch the 'UNIQLO Selfless Selfie Project' – a digital and in-store initiative. The project is aimed to inspire consumers to give a little social good this holiday season by turning the notion of Selfie into something that's about more than oneself, rewarding that participation with a one-of-a-kind #3DSelfie.
Beginning this week, the 'Selfless Selfie Project' (www.theselflessselfieproject.com) will be accepting submissions by encouraging people to take a selfie and make a pledge that focuses on giving back to loved ones and the community around them. Participants will post their Selfless Selfie to the social network of their choice using designated hashtags (#3DSelfie and #UNIQLOCity) for a chance to make their very own 3D Selfie in-store at one of five global UNIQLO locations. Up to 150 participants per city will be chosen from New York, San Francisco, London, Paris and Berlin to make their own #3DSelfie and will become part of UNIQLO's in-store holiday exhibition on view at each city's flagship store.
