Make Your School Fundraiser Meaningful by Supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital®
WEST MONROE, La., Sept. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Pine Valley Foods has announced the creation of a new fundraising program based on its partnership with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® called "Cookie Dough with Purpose." Groups of students will be able to sell cookie dough products packaged in St. Jude-branded tubs as part of a specific fundraising effort. This new fundraiser will allow students to continue raising money for their local needs while also supporting children fighting cancer and other life-threatening illnesses at St. Jude.
"We've helped groups of students raise money all over the United States," states Pine Valley Foods' CEO Joseph Giildenzopf. "But this new fundraising program is very special as it combines the ability to raise money for local needs while generating dollars for the great work at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital."
Pine Valley Foods hopes to generate at least $100,000 for St. Jude to help ensure no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
"Cookie Dough with Purpose" is similar to other school fundraisers, where students and parents ask friends and family to support their efforts by purchasing cookie dough products and a portion of the proceeds remains with the local group. This program takes it a step further and gives kids an opportunity to impact the lives of other kids because $1 from every tub of cookie dough sold will be donated directly to St. Jude.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped drive the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since the hospital opened in 1962.
Any group with a fundraising need can participate in the fundraising program by contacting Pine Valley Foods through a special web page located at http://go.pinevalleyfoods.com/st-jude-group.
"We think this is perhaps the 'sweetest' way to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital," claims Mr. Giildenzopf. Pine Valley Foods also recently launched a retail line of cookie dough products whereby $0.25 from every unit sold will be donated to St. Jude.
