Make Reservations For The 2015 Golden Quill Awards

PITTSBURGH, April 28, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Reserve a spot now for The Press Club of Western Pennsylvania's 51st annual Golden Quill Awards presentation, Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Sheraton Station Square Hotel, 300 W. Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh.

Winners of the Golden Quills competition, recognizing professional excellence in written, photographic, illustration, broadcast and online journalism in Western Pennsylvania, will be announced at the event. See the list of finalists at www.westernpapressclub.org.

Also that evening, the Press Club will honor Peggy Finnegan and David Johnson, co-anchors for WPXI-TV, with the President's Award. Ginny Frizzi, of The Press Club of Western Pennsylvania and the Society of Professional Journalists, will receive this year's Service to Journalism Award.

Brittany Lauffer of Moon, a junior at Point Park University, will receive the 2015 Bob Fryer Memorial Scholarship. Hannah Smith of Breezewood, a sophomore at Robert Morris University, is the recipient of The Press Club Scholarship.

The Golden Quill Awards evening will start at 6 p.m., with a cash bar and reception. Dinner and the awards ceremony will follow at 7 p.m.
