Major Leaguers Yulieski Gurriel And Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Sign Exclusive Representation Deal With Marc Anthony's Magnus Sports Division
MIAMI, Feb. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Global music star Marc Anthony and his Magnus Sports division, announced today the signings of Houston Astros First Baseman Yulieski Gurriel and his brother Toronto Blue Jays Shortstop Lourdes Gurriel Jr. for exclusive representation.
The brothers, known as Yuli and Yunito, are the sons of legendary Cuban Outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Sr. who played in Cuba's Serie Nacional for 20 years.
Yuli played on the Houston Astros World Series Championship team in 2017. On July 28, 2018, Yunito became the first rookie in the Major Leagues since 1911 to have the most consecutive multi-hit games (10).
They made Major League Baseball history together on September 21, 2018, when they became the first brothers to register multi-homer games on the same day. On that same day Yunito also became the first rookie in Blue Jays history to hit Home Runs in three consecutive at-bats.
