Main Street in Motion Lets Customers Drive and Compare
ARCADIA, Calif., Nov. 12, 2010 /PRNewswire/ --
- Invites customers to rank new Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles against competition
- Chevrolet Volt and Cruze, GMC Terrain, and Buick Regal featured
- Relaxed atmosphere with no sales pressure
What if you could shop for a new car, even drive it against its competitors, in a relaxed environment with no pressure to buy?
That's just what Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC will offer Dec. 3-5 at Main Street in Motion at Santa Anita Park.
Consumers in Southern California will be able to test drive more than 70 vehicles, comparing the latest Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC models against those from Acura, Dodge, Ford, Honda, Lexus, Toyota, and others.
Both invited and walk-up consumers can drive and compare a range of vehicles, including electric and hybrid vehicles, performance cars, crossovers, and full-size pickups. The venue also will feature food and entertainment for the customers, their families and friends.
"We know from experience that when people drive our new products head to head with the competition that opinion and consideration significantly improve, and we sell more vehicles," said Steve Tihanyi, general director, Marketing Alliances, Services and Branded Entertainment. "With the product lineup we have today – including the Chevy Cruze, Chevy Volt electric car with extended range capability, Buick Regal, and GMC Terrain – we're committed to reaching out to new customers and showing them just how competitive we are."
Chevrolet Volts in the program will allow many customers to experience electric driving for the first time. They also can compare Volt against the Toyota Prius hybrid. The new Chevrolet Camaro convertible, which goes on sale next spring, will be on display.
Walk-ups to Main Street in Motion are welcome, but customers are encouraged to preregister at mainstreetinmotion.com. All that's required for those who wish to drive is to be 18 years old and be able to show a valid driver's license.
