The U.N. Secretary General and several Heads of State were in attendance at the summit to discuss various humanitarian initiatives related to Ebola recovery efforts.
Ambassador Brewer was joined at this two day event by Heads of State of Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone; High-level representatives of the African Union, the European Union, the African Development Bank, and the World Bank; representatives from the private sector, private foundations, and civil society organizations; as well as many others.
As part of his prepared remarks, Ambassador Brewer highlighted a developing initiative between MagneGas and several organizations such as World Bank, UNDP, and Masada to provide sustainable solutions to Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. Amb. Brewer stated "getting to zero cases of Ebola is a major hurdle to overcome, but we must also plan on how we are going to rebuild the industry and infrastructure of Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia. This is an opportunity to build the framework for how this and future situations are addressed. Organizations outside of these countries need to work closely with established organizations within to support effective, sustainable development and recovery."
"We are very blessed to have Ambassador Brewer on our advisory board and represent MagneGas for important initiatives being discussed at the United Nations," stated CEO Ermanno Santilli, "the insights and ability to facilitate life-changing solutions at these types of events are extremely valuable and we are honored to have our name and technologies presented as potential solutions for some of the world's most pressing issues like the Ebola outbreak."
The Ebola Recovery Assessment (ERA), led by the United Nations, will identify what elements are required for immediate recovery as well as identify conditions necessary to minimize the risk of its resurgence. The MagneGas sanitation technology could prove to be an ideal component for the economic development and health safety needed for the recovery and prevention of the Ebola epidemic and other widespread diseases of West Africa. The Company will continue to be present in global discussions and work alongside all initiatives set forth by the United Nations as guided by Ambassador Jack Brewer.
