KEMP, Texas, Sept. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Larson Electronics' Magnalight has introduced a compact yet rugged power transformer that allows operators to run low voltage lighting and equipment with standard voltages.  The Magnalight TX-1000VA-4XAO Power Transformer can be configured to convert 120 or 240 VAC at 50/60hz to 12/24 VDC or 12/24 VAC and is ideal for operators who utilize equipment requiring low voltages.  This 1000 watt heavy duty power transformer is weatherproof, NEMA 3R rated, and features twist lock receptacle and voltage adjustability which allows operators to compensate for extreme cord lengths.

The TX-1000VA-4XAO power transformer  from Magnalight.com provides operators with an effective way to reduce common 120 or 240 VAC current to 12/24 VDC or 12/24 VAC depending upon configuration, in order to power lights and equipment which require low voltages.  This power transformer features an adjustable voltage controller which allows operators to increase the voltage levels in order to compensate for voltage drops that occur when very long cords are used.  If an operator switches from a 50 foot cord to a 150 foot cord and notices a reduction in light output from a set of lamps for example, they can increase the voltage to 18 volts in order to ensure the lamps receive a full 12 volts.  The transformer in this unit is mounted within a weatherproof enclosure that is NEMA 3R rated giving it protection against driving water, and a raised base protects the unit from standing water as well.  Low voltage power output from this portable transformer  is provide by 4  I-520 twist lock receptacles, and an included pair of GFCI protected 1523 receptacles provide access to standard 120/240 voltage.
