KEMP, Texas, June 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com has announced today the addition of the HAL-TL-2X10W-C Class 1, Division 2, Chemical Resistant LED Traffic Light designed for use in refueling areas where trucks and equipment frequently take on or unload hazardous and flammable materials. Built of non corrosive materials and equipped with red and green LED indicator lamps, these fixtures are built to withstand damaging conditions and environments while providing long lamp life and excellent lamp visibility.

The HAL-TL-2X10W-C chemical resistant LED traffic light from Magnalight.com is designed to provide a safe indicator light solution for refueling stations and areas where trucks and heavy equipment take on or unload hazardous and flammable materials. Built for resistance to the corrosive properties of chemicals, water, and marine environments, the polycarbonate housings and PYREX lamp globes used in this design also provide excellent strength and durability. This unit includes two 10 watt LED lamps which provide more light output than 100 watt incandescent lamps, yet use only a fraction the amount of energy while running far cooler. These LED lamps provide brilliant red and green illumination that is easily visible under adverse conditions, and provide a 50,000+ hour operational life rating which greatly reduces maintenance and operational costs. While normal incandescent refueling fixtures require re-lamping every 500 to 1000 hours, these fixtures can operate for years between lamp replacements, making them far more reliable and economical to operate over the long term. The HAL-TL-2X10W-C is UL Class 1 Division 2 approved  for hazardous locations and is certified for wet locations and areas where equipment is subjected to hose down for cleaning. The entire lamp assembly is affixed to a heavy gauge aluminum mounting bracket with predrilled holes which allows operators to secure the fixture to walls and flat surfaces for permanent attachment. Power for the unit is supplied through two cords which connect each lamp independently of the other, making this an ideal fixture for stop/go or safe/unsafe indicator applications. Each cord is equipped with a straight blade plug for easy connection, and the unit is designed to operate on standard 12-240 VAC electrical current. Approvals and certifications for this LED traffic light include UL 844: Class1 Division 2 Hazardous Location, UL 1570/1571: Wet Locations, and USCG acceptance and CSA approval.
