Macoma Capital Group's Bradford Manning and MidOcean Partners' Noah Rabinsky Named Foundation Fighting Blindness National Trustees
COLUMBIA, Md., July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Foundation Fighting Blindness, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing sight-saving research, has appointed New York City investment professionals Bradford Manning, co-founder of Macoma Capital Group, and Noah Rabinsky, a vice president at MidOcean Partners, as national trustees of the organization.
"Brad and Noah's dedication has helped fuel our pursuit of vision-saving treatments and cures," said William T. Schmidt, CEO, Foundation Fighting Blindness. "We're thrilled to welcome them to this special group of Foundation Fighting Blindness leaders whose ongoing passion to advance retinal degenerative research is integral to our success."
In New York City, Mr. Manning and Mr. Rabinsky founded a Young Professionals Initiative to boost visibility of the Foundation Fighting Blindness and its efforts. They also served as Young Professional Co-Chairs at the 2013 Banking on a Cure Visionary Awards Dinner, in February, which raised nearly $500,000 for the Foundation.
"We will continue to fight hard for these cures," said Manning, who invested in and launched Macoma's private investment fund in 2010. "There are major milestones within reach, and it's a privilege to be a part of this incredible organization as we close the gap on these life-changing treatments. My family and I are very excited and so is the team at Macoma Capital Group."
"I am honored to join the motivated group of national trustees who are focused on supporting the Foundation in its efforts to find cures for retinal degenerative diseases," said Rabinsky. "I look forward to continuing to work with Brad and our other partners at the Foundation to raise awareness and funds for this worthy cause."
