Mack Weldon and Raleigh Denim share a simple business philosophy: merge old school quality with modern day technology and design. With their focus on integrity and quality, both Mack Weldon and Raleigh have built loyal followings among fashion editors and customers alike.
Brian Berger, Founder and CEO of Mack Weldon comments, "We are thrilled to partner with Raleigh for this event. Mack Weldon underwear is designed to maximize fit, comfort and performance, and it's great to see our products accentuating Raleigh Denim's superb jeans. As a brand we over-emphasize the details, and it's exciting to work with a brand like Raleigh that has a similar approach."
This year's presentation featured Mack Weldon products tucked under, and complementing, Raleigh's SS '14 line. Boxer briefs, trunks, undershirts and socks were subtly featured beneath Raleigh Denim's blue jeans and button downs and Cole Hann footwear.
While it may seem strange to hide one's products for a fashion presentation, it's absolutely consistent with Mack Weldon's strategy of "reinventing men's basics", according to CEO Berger. "Just as we skip cluttered department store shelves by selling direct to our customer, we avoid traditionally over-sexed underwear imagery by featuring our products in their 'natural habitat'." Sarah Yarborough, Raleigh's co-founder, showed her appreciation of this authenticity stating, "We've really enjoyed working with Mack Weldon for our Spring '14 presentation. Since we're both focused on making the best possible product, we're wonderfully aligned, and the MW team is super smart + fun."
The show took place on September 3rd at the Gramercy Park Hotel. Guests included Garrett Munce, Tyler Thoreson and Wendell Brown.
