Mack to Launch "One Percent Spending Reduction Act of 2011"
Legislation to be Endorsed by "The One Cent Solution"

WHAT: Congressman Mack will be joined by Bruce Cook of The One Cent Solution to introduce the "One Percent Spending Reduction Act of 2011" aimed at bringing the federal budget into balance by 2019. The announcement will be Wednesday, May 11 at the Cannon House Office Building Room #121 (located by the southeast entrance on the first floor of the Cannon Building by the Capitol South Metro Station).
The One Percent Spending Reduction Act of 2011 will reduce overall federal spending by one percent per year — one cent for every dollar it spends — for the next six years. The bill will reduce total government spending by $7.5 trillion and balance the budget by 2019.
