MAC Welcomes New Legislative Coordinator
LANSING, Mich., Feb. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Michigan Association of Counties (MAC) welcomes Deena Bosworth to its staff as legislative coordinator. Bosworth will be responsible for legislative issues pertaining to economic development and taxation as well as judiciary and public safety.

Prior to joining MAC, Bosworth was most recently a policy advisor for the House Majority Policy Office as well as the legislative director for Representative Pete Lund. Before that, she served as the communications and legislative director for the Michigan House of Representatives, assistant county administrator with the Charlotte County Board of Commissioners in Florida, and director of legislative relations for Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox.
The Michigan Association of Counties (MAC) founded on February 1, 1898, is the only statewide organization dedicated to the representation of all county commissioners in Michigan. MAC is a non-partisan, non-profit organization which advances education, communication and cooperation among county government officials in the state of Michigan. MAC is the counties' voice at the State Capitol, providing legislative support on key issues affecting counties.
