M & F Worldwide Corp. Names Senator Bob Kerrey Chairman of M & F Worldwide Education Holdings
NEW YORK, July 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- M & F Worldwide Corp. (NYSE: MFW) today announced that Senator Bob Kerrey will join the Company as Chairman of M & F Worldwide Education Holdings. Senator Kerrey will be responsible for M & F Worldwide's existing education businesses and will also head up strategic initiatives and evaluation of future investments in the education sector.

Senator Kerrey served as Governor of the State of Nebraska from 1982 to 1987, and as Senator of the State of Nebraska from 1988 to 2000. Senator Kerrey left public service to serve as President of New School University in New York City from 2001 to 2011.
Senator Kerrey has a long history of leadership in education especially in the application of technology to help students, parents, teachers and administrators. He helped Nebraska become one of the first states to have every school connected to the Internet. He developed close relationships with superintendents, principals, parents, teachers, and other elected leaders. Under his leadership, Nebraska participated in the creation of the Western Governors University. He was a founder of one of the first virtual K-12 schools in the country, a co-chair of the Congressional Web Based Education Commission and an author of the Federal law which guaranteed that our schools could afford to gain access to the Internet.
