Lyris Appoints Two New Vice Presidents to Engineering Team
V. J. Anand Named Vice President of Engineering and Cindy Sherrett Named Vice President of Programs and Engineering
EMERYVILLE, Calif., March 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lyris, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: LYRI) today announced the addition of two vice presidents to join the company’s engineering team; V. J. Anand, vice president of engineering, and Cindy Sherrett, vice president of programs and engineering. These two appointments come on the heels of three senior hires further bolstering Lyris’ management team. Anand will lead Lyris’ next generation platform effort along with future developments for Lyris HQ. Sherrett will bring leadership to the company’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and engineering efforts.
New Engineering Team Backgrounds
Anand brings a wealth of knowledge to Lyris in the general and engineering management functions. Previously he was vice president of engineering at GetJar, where he developed a scalable Ad/Serving platform with predictive analytics and optimized search, which has become the second largest mobile app store serving up more than 200 million ads per day. Prior to GetJar, Anand worked at several small to large enterprises, including Informix (IBM), developing next-generation contextual ad targeting, search optimization and real-time data warehouse products.
Sherrett has extensive experience in program management, software and services product development, product management and operational management. Most recently she was the principal and founder of Sherrett Consulting, where she provided a full suite of product management services, from requirements definition through deployments of large scale software projects. Before founding the consulting firm, Sherrett held leadership roles at multiple startups after starting her career at IBM.
