Lynden Transport makes Top 100 Truckers list for fourth year
ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Oct. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- For the fourth consecutive year, Lynden Transport was selected as one of the top national motor carriers by Inbound Logistics magazine and included in its annual Top 100 Truckers list. Each year Inbound Logistics editors select the best transportation carriers by carefully evaluating submitted information, conducting interviews and research and comparing the data to readers' motor freight and logistics challenges. The Top 100 list appears in the September Inbound Logistics' annual trucking issue.
"Premium service and reliability – those are the watchwords of supply chain professionals who need to provide service to their increasingly demanding customers. Everyone is seeking to do more with less inventory in the pipeline. That is a near-impossible task without reliable transportation partners," says Inbound Logistics Editor Felecia Stratton. "We recognize Lynden Transport as a 2014 Top 100 Trucker for consistently matching the needs of world-class logistics practitioners with speed, reliability and efficiency."
Inbound Logistics' Top 100 Truckers list serves as a qualitative assessment of service providers best equipped to meet and surpass readers' evolving motor freight transportation needs. Distilling the Top 100 is never an easy task. Each year, Inbound Logistics editors select the best transportation providers by carefully evaluating submitted information, conducting personal interviews and online research, and comparing that data to readers' motor freight and logistics challenges. IL editors selected this year's class of Top 100 Motor Carriers from a pool of more than 200 companies. The service providers selected are companies that, in the opinion of IL editors, offer the diverse operational capabilities and experience to meet readers' unique supply chain and logistics needs.
"Our goal is to create a partnership with our customers and to help them achieve success," explains Lynden Transport President Paul Grimaldi. "We are pleased that our efforts are being recognized for a fourth year with a Top Trucker Award. We strive to provide the best customer service, innovative solutions and a wide variety of equipment to meet any logistics challenge or project. We have a great team of drivers and support staff to thank for keeping Lynden Transport among the Top 100."
This award is the latest of several the Lynden family of companies received this year. Lynden was chosen as one of the Top 100 third-party logistics service providers (3PLs) and as a Green Supply Chain Partner by Inbound Logistics magazine earlier this year. Lynden Transport was also voted the No. 1 Less-than-Truckload (LTL) carrier for the Western Region in Logistics Management magazine's annual Quest for Quality Awards.
Inbound Logistics is the leading trade magazine targeted toward business logistics and supply chain managers. The magazine's editorial mission is to help companies of all sizes better manage corporate resources by speeding and reducing inventory, supporting infrastructure and better matching demand signals to supply lines.
The Lynden family of companies' combined capabilities include: truckload and less-than-truckload freight to Alaska, scheduled and charter barges to Alaska and Hawaii, rail barges, intermodal bulk chemical hauls, scheduled and chartered air freighters, domestic and international shipping via air and ocean forwarding, customs brokerage, trade show shipping, remote site construction, sanitary bulk commodities hauling and multimodal logistics.
