Lynden International Names New Director of Business Development for Europe

SEATTLE, March 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lynden International welcomes Heidi Bassano as Director of Business Development for Europe. Bassano will be based in Lynden's Atlanta office where she will work closely with the company's gateway operation in New York to develop and support traffic between Lynden's European partners and U.S. offices.

Bassano has more than 25 years of industry experience most recently as TransAtlantic Trade Lane Manager at the European forwarding company Kuehne-Nagel. She also held managerial positions at Panalpina and Phoenix International in Atlanta. A graduate of Georgia State University (GSU), Bassano is pursuing a Master's Degree in International Development and Disaster Management at GSU's Andrew Young School of Public Policy. She is a National Shelter Manager and Team Captain for the American Red Cross and volunteers for the humanitarian aid agency CARE.
