ANCHORAGE, Alaska, March 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Lynden Inc., and its family of transportation and logistics companies, today announced the following executive appointments.
Jim Jansen has been named Chairman and continues as a member of the executive team. Jansen was previously Chief Executive Officer, a role now filled by Lynden Inc. President Jon Burdick. Paul Steere was named Chairman Emeritus for Lynden's Board of Directors. In addition, Alex McKallor was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Brad McKeown to Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President and Everett Billingslea to Chief Legal Officer and Senior Vice President.

Paul Steere has served as a member of Lynden's Board of Directors since 1982 and was Chairman of the Board for 10 years.
Jon Burdick joined Lynden in 1981 as a Financial Analyst after working as an intern for Lynden Transport in 1980. He became President of Yukon Alaska Transport in 1986 and, from 1987 to present, served as Vice President of Business Development, Executive Vice President of Operations and President of Lynden Inc.
Alex McKallor started his career at Lynden in 1985 as Director of Pricing for Alaska Marine Lines. He later became Vice President of Marketing and was promoted to President in 1992. He was named President of Lynden Transport in 2005 and Executive Vice President for Common Carrier Operations of Lynden Inc. in 2008.
Brad McKeown joined Lynden in 2007 as Vice President of Finance. In 2008, he became Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. McKeown has held senior finance positions in the transportation, aerospace and forest products industries.
Everett Billingslea has been a Vice President and Lynden's General Counsel since 2003. Prior to Lynden, he was General Counsel to former Washington Governor Gary Locke and in-house counsel for Quality Food Centers (QFC).
