Lyft launches 'Bieber Mode' to let fans buy 'Purpose' for $5

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Lyft, the fastest-growing ridesharing company in the U.S., has teamed up with global superstar Justin Bieber to give fans a new way to buy his upcoming album, Purpose, arriving November 13th. Through Lyft's 'Bieber Mode,' fans can buy Justin's album starting today at 9pm PT.

'Bieber Mode,' which will be available for purchase through Lyft until November 19, 2015 while supplies last, lets fans buy Purpose for $5 when they take at least a $5 Lyft ride. In this video, Justin surprises fellow Lyft passengers, celebrates 'Bieber Mode,' and says he will be using Lyft as he travels the country next week. Passengers riding in 'Bieber Mode" to buy the album might end up riding with Justin, too!

How 'Bieber Mode' works:

• Download the Lyft app on iPhone or Android and create an account.
• When you're ready to request a ride, slide into 'Bieber Mode' in the Lyft app and tap 'Buy & Ride' to buy the album for $5.
• After you finish at least a $5 Lyft ride, we'll send you a unique album download code and credit your Lyft account for $5 off a future ride.
• Bieber Mode will be available until 11:59pm PT on Thursday, November 19th.
