Luxury Consignment Site The RealReal Supports Growing Consignment Demand in Detroit with White Glove Service
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The RealReal, the leading luxury consignment company, today announced the expansion of its white glove consignment service for consignors with luxury fashion, fine jewelry, home goods, and fine art in Detroit. The expansion of the white glove service to Detroit is the result of strong consignment growth the company saw in the market.
Established in 2011, the white glove service is an in-home consulting and pick-up service where one of the company's 90+ luxury managers consults with the consignor on what to consign and then offers estimated price ranges for those items. The items are then transported to one of The RealReal's warehouses where they are processed, authenticated, merchandised and sold by the company rounding out a full-service consignment experience.
The service is free of charge and virtually eliminates any work or hassles for consignors. In addition to new consignors, existing consignors with 10+ items can take advantage of this new service as an alternative to shipping their items directly. Consignors can earn up to 70% of the sale price for their items.
The Detroit luxury manager, Elizabeth Belkin, is a fashion industry veteran who brings 28 years of experience and expertise to The RealReal. Her background includes management positions at Bulgari, Cartier, and Miu Miu. Most recently, Belkin was Flagship Director at Marc Jacobs International.
