SAN FRANCISCO, June 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The leading on-demand valet service app Luxe today announces Drive Home, the newest service option available via the app. This groundbreaking program offers customers a valet to drive them home safely in their own cars after an evening out. Drive Home will begin piloting in San Francisco today and hopes to expand to additional markets in the coming months.
"Our new Drive Home service will give users the flexibility and the benefit of having a Luxe valet drive them home in their own cars, offering the absolute safest way to get home after a few drinks," said Curtis Lee, CEO of Luxe. The service is one of the first of its kind to be fully covered under the company's $5M insurance policy for valets, drivers and cars. Luxe is also proud to announce that Drive Home is being launched in partnership with Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD), where $1 from every ride will be donated to the cause.
Users can choose the Drive Home option via the app's additional services menu at a cost of $25 with an additional $3 per mile. Once requested, the Customer Delight team will contact the user for the destination and return time. A valet will pick up the driver in their own vehicle and drive them safely back to their chosen destination before parking their car in the driveway and handing them their keys.
Also announced today, Luxe will be launching in four additional cities by September 2015 - New York, Austin, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. - making Luxe available in nine cities across the U.S.
