Luv.it Launches First Mobile E-Commerce Platform Dedicated To Emerging Fashion Brands
NEW YORK, Nov. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Luv.it Technologies announced the launch of Luv.it, the first mobile commerce platform dedicated to helping emerging fashion brands take their businesses mobile. The IOS app combines the shareability and engagement of social media with mobile commerce, empowering its users to interact and shop like fashion influencers.
The founding team comprises: German Ahumada Alduncin (Chairman), Fernando Trueba Gris (CEO), German Ahumada Lomelin (CPO), Rodrigo Higuera Aguilar (CTO). They are joined by Brenda Diaz de la Vega (Chief Brand Officer).
Trueba states, "With mobile commerce reaching 115B this year, this is undeniably the future, but what we found was that emerging designers are struggling to capitalize on this opportunity. This insight is what laid the foundation for our primary mission: to help young designers navigate the mobile landscape."
Luv.it donates 2.5% of every sale to programs supporting emerging designers as well as to the self-funded, annual Luv.it Designer Grant Award. This year, DEMARSON received a $20K prize to help expand into the jewelry and non-fur categories.
Luv.it's secondary mission was based on research showing that 71% of the population was more likely to buy a product when referred by a friend. This led to a larger discussion about what makes shopping with friends so fun (e.g. giving and receiving advice or discovering new brands and styles), and how to recreate those elements on the app. "What's unique about Luv.it is that we consider all of our users as influencers. While they may have relatively smaller audiences, the influence they wield is much more significant given the organic and credible nature of their networks," said Trueba. Customers will receive 2.5% cash back with every purchase to redeem immediately, banked as credit, or donated to support independent designers.
Luv.it carries young standout brands such as DEMARSON, Fabiana Pigna, Amanda Pearl, Gigi Burris, Monica Sordo, Hecho, Bliss Lau, Snowman, and Thaddeus O'Neil and established collections such as Acne Studios, J.W. Anderson, Maison Martin Margiela, Mari Giudicelli, Thom Browne, Rimowa, Paco Rabanne, Jacquemus, and Rick Owens. The app aims to represent designers from the established international fashion capitals as well as emerging regions such as Thailand, Latin America, Australia, South Korea, and Sweden.
