Lung Cancer Research Foundation Hosts Fifteenth Annual Strolling Supper

NEW YORK, Nov. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, November 8, the Lung Cancer Research Foundation (LCRF) held its Fifteenth Annual Strolling Supper at Gotham Hall in New York City. During the event, LCRF announced its recent merger with Free to Breathe, a lung cancer research and advocacy organization. By coming together, the new LCRF will make an even greater impact on closing the funding gap for lung cancer research.

LCRF Board Chair Brendon M. Stiles, MD delivered the news of the merger in a video titled, Together, which debuted during the Strolling Supper. "Together, the new Lung Cancer Research Foundation will help forge the kinds of strong personal connections between patients, families, clinicians, caregivers, and scientists that we already know dramatically improve patients' lives and experiences," said Dr. Stiles. "And together, one day we will win our long, good fight against lung cancer."

The Fifteenth Annual Supper raised over $1.2 million for lung cancer research. WABC's Bill Ritter hosted this year's event, which was attended by more than 500 people. Guests enjoyed a special performance by Tony Award-Nominee and Television Star, Norm Lewis, accompanied by Joseph Joubert.

LCRF hosts 50 public events annually across the country. The Strolling Supper is part of LCRF's New York event series, which also includes the Strides for Life Run/Walk, the Lung Cancer Awareness Luncheon, Elliot's Legacy: Kites for a Cure and the Brooklyn Free to Breathe Run/Walk.
