Lung Cancer Hope Month Event to Raise Funds for Lung Cancer Research, Features Special Guest NBC4's Doug Kammerer
WASHINGTON, April 19, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- LUNGevity Foundation, the nation's largest lung cancer-focused nonprofit, will host the Breathe Deep DC Golf Classic, during Lung Cancer Hope Month, at the Army Navy Country Club on May 13, 2013. The honorary event chair is The Honorable Michael G. Oxley, a lung cancer survivor, and honorary event committee members include Representative Sanford D. Bishop, Jr, Speaker John A. Boehner, Senator Richard Burr, Representative James E. Clyburn, Representative John Dingell, Representative Gene Green, Representative Ed Pastor, Representative Erik Paulsen, Representative John Shimkus, Representative Albio Sires and Representative John Yarmuth.
The Breathe Deep DC Golf Classic will raise funds for critical lifesaving lung cancer research. The event chairs are Bob Filippone, Senior Vice President, Federal Affairs of PhRMA and Steve Ubl, President and CEO of Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed). Storm Team 4 Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer from NBC4 will be a special guest.
LUNGevity created Lung Cancer Hope Month, in May, to recognize the hope for better treatments and cures for lung cancer, improving lung cancer survival rates and quality of life for lung cancer patients and their loved ones.
