INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --
WHAT: |
Lumina Foundation will announce the designation of 17 communities across the country as Talent Hubs. These communities earned this designation by creating and offering multiple pathways to attract, retain, and cultivate talent, particularly among underserved populations—first-generation college students, low-income students, and students of color. Organizations within these Talent Hub communities will receive $350,000 in grants across three and a half years to support initiatives that increase postsecondary attainment. |
|
Lumina Foundation will hold an embargoed media briefing conference call prior to the release to discuss the designation and highlight various efforts to increase postsecondary education at these 17 sites, as well as answer any questions reporters might have about the release. |
